I DIDN’T WANT HIM but at the same time I did. Although I felt that way, I still let him use my body to make us both feel good.

Ashton Donovan was a friend and a convenience. While he was good, he wasn’t the best and he wasn’t what I was looking for. Even though I had those thoughts, I still slept with him. But I wouldn’t classify what we did as sleeping. In any way.

“This needs to end,” Ashton said, taking the joint from my fingertips and bringing it up to his mouth. He stuck the end between his full lips, lips that had covered every inch of my body only an hour before. He sucked. Blowing out the sweet smoke. A low groan left him.

I appreciated his love for weed and how he never judged me when I needed it after we had sex. Even though we hadn’t been sleeping together for long, what we were doing wasn’t healthy. For either of us. But of course, we never talked about it.

“Getting high?” I leaned back against my headboard. I knew what he was going on about but a part of me was still hurt that it hadn’t been me to say those words instead of him. “We can switch it up and get drunk instead,” I offered. He was right though. I liked to let people think that I wasn’t ready for a relationship when really, it had been what I wanted for a while now. But I wasn’t sure what I was looking for. A guy to treat me nice. To take me on dates. To even hold the door open for me. Chivalry was few and far between, but I knew there were men who still did those small things.

“No.” Ashton sat between my legs and laid back against me. “Us.”

“How come?” As much as I agreed with him, a piece of my heart ached a bit to hear him say it. I should have voiced those thoughts first but for whatever reason, I could never get them out.

“Because you’re not into this, Meadow. Sure, it was fun at first and you give good fucking head.” Ashton puffed on the joint. “But I know it’s not enough. Not for you. Not even for me.”

I placed my hand on his chest, feeling his heart beat beneath my palm. “It’s comfortable,” I finally confessed. But it really wasn’t. Ashton made me feel better because I hadn’t found what I was looking for. Hell, I didn’t even know what I wanted. My brain was a jumbled mess because on one hand, I wanted to be swept off my feet by Prince Charming and then on the other, I wanted to be fucked dirty against a wall. I needed to stop reading my friend’s romance books. It wasn’t like I had to shack up with someone right away. But I still longed to have that person to go home to.

“I know.” Ashton sat up, landing those beautiful baby blue eyes on me. “But I also know that you like a challenge, Meadow. And remember.” He winked. “I’m too young for you.”

I laughed, wrapping my arms around him and pulling him back against me. “Maybe you’re right. You need a woman who’s completely into you. Not just for your hot as hell body and big dick.”

He grunted, wrapping his free hand around himself. “It is quite big.”

“It is.” I wiggled out from behind him and moved in front of him before kneeling between his legs. Giving the tip of his cock a kiss, I moved up the length of him. “Do you think in another life, this could have worked out? Whatever this was between us?” Even though this thing with Ashton could never amount to something serious, I cared for him. I had known the guy my whole life and knew that he would never hurt me. Even though I was just one of the many notches on his bedpost, I knew everything I got with him. We had both agreed that this would be sex. Nothing more. But even I had to admit that I had some sort of feelings for him.

Ashton sat up, giving me the joint. He raked a hand through his shaggy blond hair before giving me a small smile. “I think this definitely could have worked out. In another life though. Both of us like sex too much and with other people.”

I knew he had been sleeping with other women while sleeping with me. It was one reason why I wanted to end things. We had always been safe but as much as I enjoyed the casual sex, I needed someone who was committed to only me.

“We could have an open relationship.” I straddled his lap, wrapping an arm around his broad shoulders. “Maybe, have a poly type thing going on.”

Ashton leaned back on his elbows. “In another life, Meadow.”

“Yeah. In another life.” My gaze dropped to his lap. “Will you let me ride it one last time?”

“Babe.” His eyes darkened. “I’ll let you do whatever the fuck you want to it.”

I laughed, swiping my thumb over the pre-cum dripping from the slit in his dick. A soft sigh left me. “I’m going to miss this.” But I knew he was right. This wasn’t healthy for either of us. As much as I didn’t want to settle down, whatever Ashton and I were doing wasn’t moving forward at all.

  “Meadow?”

I jumped, my eyes shooting to his.

“Are you being a girl for once and letting your feelings get in the way?” Ashton raised an eyebrow.

  “I…”

He flipped us over, so I was lying beneath him. “I know I said that we should stop this but it can wait until tomorrow.” He leaned down, lick
ing along the shell of my ear. “Tonight, your body is fucking mine.”

ASHTON AND I HAD broken things off and I wasn’t okay. I was antsy and on the verge of calling him up and telling him that he was wrong. He wasn’t. But I was bored. I had done all the baking I could for the day. I ran out of weed and didn’t feel like going to get some more. Especially because it was pushing ten at night and the person I usually got the weed from didn’t live in the safest of areas. My dad would kill me if he knew where I had to go to feed my addiction.

  Maybe Ashton had weed.

No. I could not go there. Not again.

He was fun. A friend. That was all. He needed to move on and so did I. But God did he know his way around my body. Maybe he didn’t and it had just been awhile for me and I was satisfied by anything. It wasn’t the case, but it was possible. Maybe?

I pinched the bridge of my nose, clearly losing my mind.

A light knock sounded on the door to my bedroom.

I frowned, rushing to open it and finding my sister staring back at me. “What’s wrong?” I asked her, stepping out into the hall.

“Are we still going out for drinks?” my sister, Gigi, asked, hope dancing in her honey colored eyes. While she got our mother’s tall slender frame, I was short and curvy.

“Oh, sure. I didn’t think we were still doing that.” Our friend, Luna, had gotten into a fight with her boyfriend. The tension rushing through our house was thick. Everyone had gone their separate ways after said boyfriend punched the shit out of Ashton. But even in his bruised-up state, he was still hot as hell. I really needed to get it together.

I had never actually been attracted to Ashton, who was a twin. His brother, although hot as well, didn’t do it for me. But when Ashton was giving Luna and her man, Zach, issues, I stepped in because, what are friends for? I had no idea in the beginning that this thing with Ashton would continue. I had assumed that we would fuck once, and he would move on to his next conquest. He did but kept me beneath him just the same.

“Ashton took Luna to the hospital.” Gigi shook her head, a deep frown settling between her brows. “I can’t believe Zach elbowed her.”

  I scoffed. “No kidding.”

Although Luna shouldn’t have tried to break up the fight, I probably would have done the same thing. React first and think later. And now she possibly had a broken nose because of it.

“Where’s Piper?” I asked Gigi as we left the house.

“She’s meeting us there. I was thinking we go to a bar that’s not in our city.” Gigi stopped in front of her car. “Sound good to you?”

I shrugged. Didn’t matter to me either way. I just wanted to get drunk and find someone, maybe even two someones, to curb this itch.

“What’s with you?” Gigi asked, narrowing her brows at me from the other side of the car.

“Nothing.” I slid into the vehicle, buckled up the seat belt, and stared out the window.

She sat in the driver’s side, turned on the car, and paused. Her stare burned into the side of my head.

“What?” I demanded, my head whipping around.

She laughed, putting the car in gear and backing us out of the driveway. “You know, you never should have started fucking Ashton in the first place. It’s messing you up.”

“No, it’s not.” It wasn’t. I cared for him. Of course I cared for him. All of us had grown up together but Ashton couldn’t give me what I wanted. I wasn’t sure if anyone could.

  “It really is,” she insisted.

“Oh, and you know all?” I threw back at her. “So, tell me, Gigi. How’s Vince doing? Did you two fuck yet? Or at least actually talk?”

She glared at me, her jaw ticking. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“Right.” I turned back around, staring out the window. “I love you but until you both get your heads out of your asses and admit your feelings for one another, don’t judge me for my shit.” It may have come off as harsh, but my sister needed to be told. Vince Junior had been her crush for years, but he was only nineteen. Even though he was turning twenty in the next few months, it didn’t mean anything. He was still five years younger than her and that stopped her from making a move. Or so she said anyway. Something had happened before he went off to school. But none of us knew what that was.

“Fine, don’t need to be a bitch about it,” she mumbled.

I laughed, shaking my head. “So, where are we going?”

“Some bar in the city. It’s actually near Zach’s condo. I thought it would be best to go there just in case Luna needs us for anything.”

I thought a moment. “Are they going to the city?” I just assumed Ashton would drive Luna home after her visit at the hospital.

“I don’t know. This was more Piper’s idea. I just go with the flow.” Gigi shrugged.

  “Interesting.”

A little bit later, we were pulling into a parking lot by some bar. “This place doesn’t even have a name. Are you sure we aren’t going to get murdered here?” I just hoped they made my death unique. None of this boring shit that happens so much, it’s overdone. Skin me alive or something and make it worthwhile. God, I needed to get a life.

“Piper mentioned it.” Gigi sat forward. “But yeah, this place looks creepy. Although, it is in a safer part of town.” She shrugged. “Can’t be that bad.”

“Right,” I said slowly. “Cause that’s what every victim says before they get slaughtered.”

“You watch too many movies.” She stepped out of the car.

“I do not.” I followed her, slamming the door shut behind me. “Just because horror movies inspire me when I bake, doesn’t mean I watch too many of them.”

She laughed, hooking an arm around my shoulders. “Yeah, it does.”

“Whatever. At least my treats turn out tasty.” Baking was my calling. I lived and breathed pastries, donuts, cakes…it was also why I had a few extra pounds in my hips, ass, and tits. Although, my breasts did get me out of many speeding tickets.

Gigi and I crossed the street, heading to the bar that looked more rundown and like it didn’t belong in this part of the city.

Motorcycles sat in the alley beside the building. I paused in my steps, letting my eyes rake over the beautiful machinery. Each bike was different. In size. Color. Style.

  “Meadow?”

I jumped, my cheeks burning at being caught staring. “Just looking.”

Gigi nodded toward the motorcycles. “Remember, you can’t touch the pretty bikes.”

“I know.” I sighed. I went to follow Gigi into the bar when one of the bikes caught my eye. It was bigger. With a deep blood red gas tank, it held a black skull on it. I had seen that skull before. I glanced around me, making sure that I was alone after Gigi had gone into the bar.

Once I was satisfied that I wouldn’t get maimed, I ran my finger along the gorgeous artwork. What I wouldn’t give to feel the rumble of the engine between my legs. I bet this bike growled like a lion.

  “Careful.”

My heart jumped to my throat. I slowly glanced over my shoulder, finding an older man leaning against the brick wall. His thick arms were crossed under his chest. His piercing green eyes bore into mine. A light smattering of brown scruff covered his jaw like he hadn’t shaved in a few days.

“She’s beautiful,” was all I said.

“I agree.” But he wasn’t looking at the bike.

My body buzzed at the emerald orbs peering at me but as much as I wanted to play with this new stranger, I had to get inside and join the girls.

“Well, this was fun.” I walked by him when a hand reached out to grab my upper arm. I met his stare, getting lost in his eyes.

He peered down at me. His tongue peeked out, licking along his bottom lip.

My eyes followed the movement, a hot shiver racing down my spine at the sight. Nothing was said but something definitely slid between us.

Clearing my throat, I pulled from his grip and headed i
nto the bar.

I was going to fuck her. How I knew this, I wasn’t sure but the tiny little thing that just walked past me, with heat in her eyes, was definitely going to be mine. Or ours I should say.

  “Hey.”

  Speaking of…

Sunny Harrison took that moment to join me. He passed a glance between his bike and me, then back to his bike. “Someone touched her.”

“Someone did but I promise, you won’t give a shit about that when you see who that someone was.” I pushed away from the wall and headed to the back of the bar. It was a shithole, but they served good beer and the owner let us do our thing without being disturbed. As long as we kept the peace of course.

“Who touched her?” Sunny asked, his voice rough like he had just gargled with broken glass. It was one of the things I liked about him. His deep voice that could make me weak in the knees every damn time, but of course, I never told him that. A bi-sexual biker wasn’t the norm. Even though people were more open about sexual preferences these days, I still kept that little bit of information to myself.

Once we stepped into the bar, I nodded in the direction of the table at the other end of the room. “She did.”

Sunny followed my gaze, his brows narrowing. “Which one?”

“Which one do you think?” I asked him, crossing my arms under my chest.

“The tiny one?” His nostrils flared. He looked back at me. “You talk to her?”

“Yes, the tiny one,” I repeated. Even though she was small, she was curvy, and I could see the swell of her breasts pushing against her dress. She had some weight on her. Which would be perfect for when Sunny and I fucked her body at the same time. “Briefly. She’s with her friends.”

Sunny ran his fingers through his beard, his blue-gray eyes burning into the young woman that I wanted gagging on my dick.

“Fine.” Sunny moved to the booth behind us. “I can wait.”

I chuckled, sitting beside him just as another member of our club rolled in. “Right, Sunny.”
